Making new friends in the traveler’s paradise of Antigua happens quickly, but how well can you know people you’ve just met? When one of Kira McKnight’s new expat friends ends up in a coma, after drinking a cocktail meant for Kira, she realizes she is in danger and needs to be very careful who she trusts. Was she just being paranoid, or was there a darker reason she’d been accepted for the language program and sent that plane ticket?

It gradually dawns on her that her new expat friends, her anonymous benefactor, and the author of a warning note might have something in common. They might have discovered the real reason she was there, and might have been doing their best to make sure Kira didn’t get out of Antigua alive.
