Paisley Santos receives an offer from the Aspen Language Institute. A free airplane ticket to Quito, Ecuador, and a language-immersion program, complete with deluxe homestay in the upscale neighborhood of La Floresta, also free-of-charge.

Of course, there is a catch.

It’s an unorthodox assignment. One that most girls would reject, outright. But, Paisley is not like most girls. The architect of her assignment knows this. A few people had to learn the hard way.
